Bought this ink. Said ink arrived. Placed said ink in printer. Said ink clearly showed up on white paper. I printed in caps, "HP TRICKED YOU AGAIN INTO BUYING A CHEAP PRINTER. YOU THOUGHT IT WAS LOW COST INK UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY USED IT AND FOUND OUT YOU COULD NOT EVEN PRINT UP THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE IF YOU WANTED TO BECAUSE YOU WOULD BE OUT OF INK AND NOW YOU HAVE TO BUY THE XL CARTRIDGES AT 27 BUCKS TO HAVE ENOUGH INK TO PRINT UP HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS. ON A BRIGHTER NOTE YOU ALREADY BOUGHT MORE INK THAN YOUR PRINTER COSTS AFTER YOU BUY 2 CARTRIDGES SO IF THIS PRINTER BREAKS AFTER 2 CARTRIDGES BUY SOMETHING ELSE IF YOU WANT TOO." Definitely get the XL

I opted for the XL rather than the normal 61 cartridge, I've had it for about 8 months (with slightly above average use, I am a student so occasionally have to print 50+ page scholarly articles, research papers, etc.) and have not had to replace it yet.

Received the Ink before estimated delivery and I am in Afghanistan. Great service and great ink cartridge. Put it in and the ink quality is very good. Highly recommend.
